AQLAM published twice a year and focused on the Islamic studies especially the basic sciences of Islam, including the study of the Qur’an, Hadith, Islamic Philosophy, Islamic History and Culture, Theology, Mysticism, and Local Wisdom in Indonesia. It is intended to communicate original research and current issues on the subject. This journal warmly welcomes contributions from scholars of related disciplines. <p><strong>Abstract:</strong><em> The research on the early arrival of the Muslim community in Tomohon Javanese Village (Kampung Jawa Tomohon) has its own story, unlike the Muslim community in Kampung Jawa Tondano Minahasa, which was pioneered by Kiyai Mojo and his followers in 1829. In the Tomohon area, Islam was allegedly introduced by several people from the sultanate of Banten. This research aims to investigate how the early arrival of Banten Muslims introduced Islam in Tomohon. This research uncovered the story of who and how the Banten Muslims first arrived. Method of research using observation, document study and in-depth interviews with key informants. This research found that Tubagus Buang was a pioneer also as the leader of the first group of Banten Muslims to arrive in Tomohon Minahasa. He was a mysterious figure. Tubagus Buang's grave is still believed by the residents of Sarongsong Javanese village to be in their area, namely Kalapa Empat.</em> <em>In the Sarongsong District they settled in the Kayu Payung area. For a long time in the area they chose to procreate through marriage with Minahasa women. In addition, the typical Islamic traditions in Tomohon Javanese Village come from the tariqat tradition inherited from Banten, such as the Lebaran Ketupat celebration and Rudat art. There has not been much writing on the history of Tomohon Javanese Village.</em></p><p><strong>Key Words :</strong><em> </em><em>Kampung Jawa Tomohon, Tubagus Buang, Minahasa Muslims</em></p><p><em><br /></em></p><p><strong><em>Abstrak</em></strong><em>: Penelitian mengenai awal mula kedatangan komunitas Muslim di Kampung Jawa Tomohon memiliki cerita tersendiri, berbeda dengan komunitas Muslim di Kampung Jawa Tondano Minahasa yang dipelopori oleh Kiyai Mojo dan para pengikutnya pada tahun 1829. Di daerah Tomohon, Islam diduga diperkenalkan oleh beberapa orang dari kesultanan Banten. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana awal mula kedatangan Muslim Banten memperkenalkan Islam di Tomohon. Penelitian ini mengungkap kisah tentang siapa dan bagaimana Muslim Banten pertama kali datang. Metode penelitian menggunakan observasi, studi dokumen dan wawancara mendalam dengan narasumber. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa Tubagus Buang adalah seorang perintis sekaligus pemimpin kelompok pertama Muslim Banten yang tiba di Tomohon Minahasa. Ia adalah sosok yang misterius. Makam Tubagus Buang masih diyakini oleh warga kampung Jawa Sarongsong berada di wilayah mereka, yaitu Kalapa Empat. Di Kecamatan Sarongsong mereka bermukim di daerah Kayu Payung. Sejak lama di daerah tersebut mereka memilih beranak pinak melalui pernikahan dengan perempuan Minahasa. Selain itu, tradisi Islam yang khas di Kampung Jawa Tomohon berasal dari tradisi tarekat yang diwarisi dari Banten, seperti perayaan Lebaran Ketupat dan kesenian Rudat. <p><strong>Abstract: </strong><em>This study discussed the fashion phenomenon, especially the variety and shifts in contemporary fashion among students in Islamic university. Using semiotics to discuss students’ dress code in Islamic university is a rare perspective. Most studies focus more on discussing fashion codes and their implementation, and dress codes are not discussed as the main material object of research, or clothing is not understood as something that has a system within itself. As a result, the discourse regarding clothing as a system of cultural markers becomes murky. This study examined Muslim students' clothing using Saussurean semiotics in terms of a structured sign system. For Saussure, a sign consists of the relationship between signifier and signified. The first element is material and concrete. Meanwhile, the second element is mental and abstract. Apart from these elements, a sign is built from the relationship between langue as social conventions and parole as individual expressions. Meanwhile, clothing is a non-verbal semiotic element that has multi-articulation through the smallest meaningful elements called morphemes and the smallest elements that are meaningless but function to differentiate meaning called phonemes. In the context of UIN Sunan Ampel as a cultural locus of our study, the clothing practices of students from the oldest PTKIN campus in East Java were fragmented into two, namely santri and non-santri fashion. This event illustrated the dynamics of fashion on a campus that was found on Islamic values and principles</em><em>.</em></p><p><strong>Keywords: </strong><em>Fashion, dress code, students, semiotics, Saussurean.</em></p><p><strong>Abstrak:</strong><em> Artikel ini membahas fenomena fesyen mahasiswa, khususnya ragam dan pergeseran busana kiwari di kalangan civitas akademica perguruan tinggi Islam di Indonesia. Meskipun penelitian tentang </em>dresscode<em> mahasiswa dari kampus-kampus Islam telah jamak dilakukan, namun studi semiotika seputar busana mahasiswa muslim masih sangat jarang dilakukan. Sebagian besar hasil penelitian yang tersedia lebih berfokus pada diskusi kode etik busana dan penerapannya. Praktis </em>dresscode<em> tidak dikaji sebagai pakaian itu sendiri. Imbasnya wacana terkait pakaian sebagai sistem penanda kultural menjadi sumir. Studi ini meneliti pakaian sebagai fokus diskusi dengan pendekatan semiotika Barthesian. Bagi Roland Barthes sebuah pakaian memiliki tiga lapis struktur, meliputi; pakaian itu sendiri, ikon tentang pakaian, dan narasi tentang pakaian. Alibinya, dari sepotong busana seseorang sejatinya tengah menyatakan sesuatu melalui suatu modus penstrukturan yang rigid. Pakaian merupakan elemen semiotik nonverbal yang memiliki artikulasi ganda melalui elemen-elemen terkecil bermakna yang disebut morfem dan elemen-elemen terkecil yang tak-bermakna namun berfungsi untuk membedakan makna yang disebut fonem. Dalam konteks UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya sebagai sebuah lokus kultural, praktik berbusana di kalangan mahasiswa terfragmentasi menjadi dua, yakni fesyen santri dan nonsantri. <p><em>This paper analyzes the interpretation of theological verses in tafsir Firdaws al-Na'im by Thaifur Ali Wafa al-Maduri. The author is a representation of Madurese religious authority because of his capacity as a pesantren cleric, mursyid tarekat, and structural NU figure in Sumenep. The research methods used in writing this article are library research and content analysis. By using critical discourse analysis, the results of this study show that the ideological tendency in Firdaws al-Na'im's interpretation can be seen from his interpretation of sensitive issues such as the theology of ru'yatullah, intercession, absolute will and justice of God. This tendency is due to the author's background as a local activist in Islamic boarding schools and traditional religious education that carries the ideology of Ahlussunnah wa al-Jama'ah. Thaifur Ali Wafa's scientific network that is connected to Middle Eastern scholars also strengthens this reason. This research is significant to portray how the intellectual relationship between Madurese Muslims and Middle Eastern Ulama has played an important role in bringing religious views and interpretations from the Middle East to the archipelago, including Madura.</em></p><p><strong><em>Keywords: </em></strong><em>Tafsir, Ideology, Thaifur Ali Wafa, Firdaws al-Na'im</em></p><p><em><br /></em></p><p><em>Abstrak: Tulisan ini menganalisis penafsiran ayat-ayat teologi dalam </em><em>Firdaws al-Na‘im bi Tawdih Ma‘ani Ayat al-Qur’an al-Karim</em><em> karya Thaifur Ali Wafa al-Maduri. Penulisnya adalah representasi dari otoritas keulamaan Madura karena kapasitasnya sebagai kiai pesantren, mursyid tarekat, dan tokoh NU Struktural di Sumenep. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penulisan artikel ini adalah library research dan content analysis. Dengan menggunakan analisis wacana kritis, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kecenderungan ideologis dalam tafsir </em><em>Firdaws al-Na’i>m</em><em> dapat dilihat dari penafsirannya tentang isu-isu sensitif </em>seperti<em> teologi ru’yatullah, syafaat, kehendak mutlak dan keadilan Tuhan. Kecenderungannya terhadap Teologi Sunni ini disebabkan oleh latar kehidupan penulisnya sebagai aktifis lokal Islam pesantren dan pendidikan agama tradisional yang mengusung ideologi Ahlussunnah wa al-Jama’ah. Jaringan keilmuan Thaifur Ali Wafa yang terhubung dengan Ulama Timur Tengah juga memperkuat alasan tersebut. <p><strong><em>Abstract:</em> </strong><strong> </strong><em>At the end of 2022, the world community was shocked by the issue of global economic recession. This threat is considered very worrying because it can cause the collapse of a country if there are no mitigation measures for this issue. Therefore, a reinterpretation of QS. Yusuf [12]: 43-48 using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach as an analytical was needed so that the Indonesian people could apply the strategies used by the Prophet Yusuf in dealing with the famine in Egypt in facing the threat of economic recession. The results show that improving the quality of human resources, especially in managing natural resources, is the primary key so that people can have a productive spirit and can create new jobs for others. In addition, implementing good regulations in all sectors of life and building good synergy between all elements of society are supporting factors in efforts to prevent the phenomenon of recession.</em><strong></strong></p><p><strong>Keyword: </strong><em>Recession Mitigation, QS. Ancaman ini dinilai sangat mengkhawatirkan karena dapat menyebabkan keruntuhan suatu negara jika tidak ada langkah mitigasi atas isu ini. Oleh karena itu, muncullah penafsiran ulang terhadap QS. Yusuf [12]: 43-48 dengan menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes sebagai pisau analisis diperlukan agar masyarakat Indonesia dapat menerapkan strategi yang digunakan oleh Nabi Yusuf dalam menghadapi bencana kelaparan di Mesir dalam menghadapi ancaman resesi ekonomi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia terutama dalam mengelola sumber daya alam menjadi kunci utama agar masyarakat dapat memiliki jiwa yang produktif dan dapat menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan baru bagi orang lain. <p><strong>Abstract:</strong> <em>Today's Islamic historiography in Bolaang Mongondow, North Sulawesi, has not been thoroughly investigated in order to show the existence of Islamic history in Bolaang Mongondow. The lack of written sources in developing Islamic historiography is one of the challenges recognized by Islamic historiography. The majority of Islamic historiography in Bolaang Mongondow continues to employ colonial material as a primary basis to construct how Islamic history is told. Nevertheless, the legitimacy of colonial data/historiography must still be questioned. Furthermore, the reconstruction of Islamic Historiography in Bolaang Mongondow can be described as unmoved, with the historical narrative limited to discussions based solely on written sources. Oral history is offered as an alternative to exploring Islamic history through interviews. As a consequence, Islamic historiography, particularly in the Bolaang Mongondow region, will present an innovative interpretation of Indonesian-centric Islamic historiography by emphasizing the roles of ordinary citizens rather than notable figures in its historical story.</em></p><p> </p><p><strong>Key Words :</strong> <em>Historical Approach, Oral Method, Decolonization</em></p><p> </p><p><strong>Abstrak:</strong><em> Historiografi Islam di Bolaang Mongondow Sulawesi Utara saat ini masih belum massive digali untuk menampilkan jejak Sejarah Islam di Bolaang Mongondow. Salah satu permasalahan Historiografi Islam yang dihadapi adalah kurangnya sumber-sumber tertulis dalam Menyusun historiografi Islam tersebut. Sebagian besar historiografi Islam</em><em> di Bolaang Mongondow</em><em> </em><em>masih bergantung data kolonial sebagai sumber primer untuk menyusun bagaimana Sejarah Islam di narasikan. </em><em>Padahal data/historiografi kolonial masih perlu dikritisi dan pertanyakan kembali keabsahannya. </em><em>Akhirnya rekonstruksi Historiografi Islam di Bolaang Mongondow bisa dikatakan stagnan dengan narasi Sejarah yang terbatas pada pembahasan-pembahasan yang memiliki data tertulis saja. <p><strong>Abstract:</strong><em> Education at Islamic boarding schools not only functions as a transfer of religious knowledge, but also as a place for the formation of religious character. The transformational leadership of Islamic boarding school leaders plays a central role in the process of producing a generation that combines academic skills with strong moral and spiritual character. Transformational leadership does not only involve managerial aspects, but also focuses on building female students' character, morality and spirituality. This research aims to explore and understand the positive impact of transformational leadership of Islamic boarding school leaders in forming a religious generation at the Tahfizh Daarul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School, Surakarta. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. This research found that the transformational leadership of Islamic boarding school leaders in the idealized influence dimension in strengthening the religious character of female students was carried out with the strategy of nurturing with the heart and educating by example, holding muhadharah activities with the aim of forming the character of female students, memorizing the Qur'an which would then be carried out by reciting the Qur'an. an, providing formal education based on science and technology.</em></p><p><strong>Key Words :</strong> <em>Transformational Leadership, Islamic Boarding School Leader, Religious</em></p><p><strong>Abstrak:</strong><em> </em>Pendidikan di pesantren tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai transfer ilmu agama, tetapi juga sebagai tempat pembentukan karakter religius. Kepemimpinan transformasional pimpinan pesantren memainkan peran sentral dalam proses mencetak generasi yang memadukan kecakapan akademis dengan karakter moral dan spiritual yang kuat. Kepemimpinan transformasional tidak hanya melibatkan aspek manajerial, tetapi juga berfokus pada pembentukan karakter, moralitas, dan spiritualitas santriwati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan memahami dampak positif kepemimpinan transformasional pimpinan pesantren dalam membentuk generasi religius di Pesantren Tahfizh Daarul Qur’an Surakarta. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional pimpinan pesantren dalam dimensi <em>idealized influence</em> dalam menguatkan karakter religius santriwati dilakukan dengan strategi mengasuh dengan hati dan mendidik dengan keteladanan, mengadakan kegiatan muhadharah dengan tujuan untuk membentuk karakter santriwati, hafal Qur’an yang selanjutnya akan dilakukan khatmil Qur’an, pemberian pendidikan formal berbasis sains dan teknologi.</p><p><strong>Kata Kunci :</strong> Kepemimpinan Transformasional, Pimpinan Pesantren, Religius<em></em></p>Zainab AlqudsiSofyan AnifAchmad FathoniAhmad MuhibbinSigit Haryanto
