Abstract
This research aims to measure the effectiveness of checking facts in improving Gen Z's critical thinking skills. The theory used in the research is digital literacy from Gilster which consists of four aspects, information search, hypertextual content evaluation, and knowledge compilation. The research design uses a pre-experiment, with a one-group pretest post-test design type. Data collection used a purposive sampling technique. The research results showed that there was an increase in pretest and posttest scores after gaining knowledge of fact-checking. Critical thinking as reflective and productive thinking emits the necessary evidence to be skeptical of all information received on the internet.
